BECOMING A MEMBER

So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Romans 12:5

Anyone is welcome to attend and participate in all activities at Glen Mar. Becoming a member implies a higher level of commitment.

There are several reasons for membership that enable you to more fully witness to your faith in Christ.
1. The concept of membership is Biblical
2. Experience shows that membership benefits the individual.
3. Membership is a natural outgrowth of Christian faith.
4. Christian fellowship and opportunities to serve are enhanced by membership.
5. Members can accomplish more as Christians joining hands together.
6. Membership is a witness that one is a Christian and shares in extending Christ’s love to others.
7. Being a member of the church provides support, encouragement, and accountability for each person as they grow in relationship with God and in their faith journey.

Opportunities to become a member of Glen Mar are offered regularly throughout the year.

Expectations of Members
1. Attend worship regularly
2. Grow in faith by participating in Bible study
3. Join a small group for support & encouragement
4. Use your spiritual gifts to serve in a ministry to which God has called
5. Give in proportion to your income
6. Share the good news of Christ with others
