REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration will be held in the Fellowship Hall. A random selection process will be used for registering all students in these categories: 1. Children of pre-school staff and Board members. The random selection process applies to families: If one child in the family is presently enrolled, all children in the same family may be registered or re-registered at the same time and the registering parent/guardian will be able to register all children for their preferred class schedule with a single opportunity in the random selection process. The random selection drawing will be held in the Fellowship Hall on a Saturday morning in January (for enrollment registration for the Fall of that year.) The specific Saturday date (and an alternate “snow emergency” date) will be announced to parents/guardians of enrolled students no later than the first week in December. On that Saturday, the doors to the Fellowship Hall will open at 10:00 AM, and no earlier, for those wishing to participate in the random selection process for pre-school class choices. When the doors open, tickets and registration forms will be handed out to those in line (one ticket per family). After all people waiting in line have been handed tickets, one half of each person’s ticket stub will be placed in a basket for a random drawing. Tickets will be drawn from the basket one at a time, by a pre-school board member. The order of tickets drawn will determine the order for parents/guardians to register children for pre-school classes. The Director of the pre-school will accept registration forms and fees in the order that the tickets are drawn from the basket. Once the drawing begins, no additional tickets will be placed in the basket. For those parents/guardians arriving after the initial 10:00 AM drawing begins, additional tickets and forms will be handed out and drawn approximately every half hour after the first drawing basket is empty. All drawings and registrations will end at 12:00 noon. For those families with children presently enrolled in the pre-school who miss the Saturday random drawings, the pre-school Director will accept registration forms and fees in the pre-school office during school hours the following week, through Friday. Registration will be first come, first served based upon class openings available as a result of the Saturday random drawings. Families of the Glen Mar United Methodist Church membership and pre-school alumni, who do not have children attending the pre-school this year, will follow the same registration procedure as above and this registration will begin the Saturday following the in-house registration. The public will follow the same registration procedure at a time to be designated to fill the remaining class openings and start waiting lists after the above two priority registrations are completed. This will usually be held the third Saturday in February. All openings that occur through the summer or after July 15th will be filled on a first come basis in August from the waiting lists begun at registration. Three months tuition is due by July 1st.
