STEWARDSHIP God created everything and set us as stewards for all creation. All that we are and all that we have is from God for God's ultimate glory. We acknowledge God’s ownership by our faithful service to God and to our neighbors, and by returning tithes and giving offerings for the proclamation of the Good News and the support and growth of God's church. Your offering supports the ministries of Glen Mar and will help in spreading God's word through our local ministries. A portion of our offerings also supports the United Methodist Church and its ministries to reach out to the rest of the world and spread the message of God's love further than we can alone. Online Giving. In this hectic world, if you cannot make it to church to present your offerings, you can make donations to Glen Mar by way of Electronic Funds Transfer. Our Stewardship Ministry Team works side by side with the Finance Team to develop resourcing strategies for time, talent, witness, prayers, revenue, and spiritual gifts in support of Glen Mar UMC's mission: praising God, growing disciples and serving the world. In any given year there is an annual giving/general operating fund campaign which takes place in the Spring for the pledge year July 1- June 30. If you feel called to participate on this team, contact Barb Julian at Barb.Julian@GlenMarUMC.org. We recently completed the Rooted in Christ, Awakening the Vision combined annual plus capital campaign in June 2011. The pledged results as of July 21 2011 totaled $1,114.820 for the operating fund and for our capital mortgage requirements a total of $2,168,110. God has provided for Glen Mar's needs through the generosity of our faith body. |
