Many individuals at Glen Mar are involved with good causes locally that are always in need of volunteers. Call or email the Glen Mar point of contact listed below for the ministry you are interested in.
The Eva Johnson Foundation (EJF) is a non-profit foundation that assists the residents of Hilltop and Ellicott Terrace in Ellicott City, by providing food during emergency situations. Although the main focus of the foundation is a food bank, it is the intent of the EFJ to extend its services to include assistance with clothing and educational assistance. See the The Eva Johnson Foundation flyer for details. For information on how you can help, call our Glen Mar point of contact, Ron Stevens, at 410.744.4246 or email him at jsteven888@verizon.net.
The Laurel Pregnancy Center (LPC) offers a place of compassion and non-judgment for folks facing a crisis pregnancy. Those individuals who want to know about the LPC and on-going ministry opportunities are invited to attend an Intro to Ministry training. This is the first part of training for those wishing to serve as client advocates or anyone who wants to serve at the LPC on a regular basis. Registration is required and there is a fee. Cheryl Dudek is the primary point of contact for this, and she can be contacted by email at nhisarms@comcast.net. An application packet is available on the Laurel Pregnancy Center Community Partners website. For more information, call our Glen Mar point of contact, Susan Williams at 410.796.8986 or contact her by email at swilliams67@verizon.net.
To add your ministry to this list, contact DC Veale, Minister for Youth, Young Adults and Missions, at 410.465.4995 ext. 205 or via email at DC.Veale@glenmarumc.org; you may also email our lay mission coordinators, Rob Boyle and Mark Hardin at missions@glenmarumc.org.
