Announcements and Needs:

• 30 Hour Famine, Feb. 24-25: Glen Mar's youth will be doing World Vision's 30 Hour Famine, raising money to overcome hunger. Sponsor a youth for this worthy cause - not just feeding the hungry, but equipping them to find solutions to poverty. To make a donation on-line, go to www.30hourfamine.org and search for Glen Mar.

• Save the Date - Sat. Feb. 25, Creole-themed Dinner and a Movie: Proceeds benefit the spring VIM trip to Haiti. The movie Strange Things: Children of Haiti will be featured. More details to follow.

Glen Mar participates in many Mission Ministries that provide outreach opportunities. Most of these opportunities are local ministries that are less than a half-hour away where whole families can participate and only require a few hours of your time.

We also participate in several mission trips that are further away and last about a week. Some mission trips are for adults only and some are for youth with adult chaperons. In addition, Glen Mar members as individuals occasionally venture on trips with other organizations. Past trips have included destinations such as Hurley VA, Slidell LA, Philadelphia PA, Tahlequah OK (Cherokee Nation) and Eleuthera in The Bahamas.
