CHILDREN AND YOUTH

All children age 4 1/2 and up are welcome to participate in one of the children’s groups. Rehearsals teach the children worship and music in a variety of settings. The directors will utilize motions, rhythm instruments, chimes and singing. Directors encourage children to share joys and concerns with each other and to pray together. Rehearsals take place weekely during the school year and participation is key so that children can grow in spriritual and musical skills. The Children’s choirs sing for worhsip every 4-6 weeks and are rotated through all Sunday service times. The children also participate in mission outreach by singing for local nursing homes and for community events.

Glen Mar Youth can become involved in the groups listed below as well as Instrumental ensembles, percussion ensembles and small vocal ensembles and solos. Some of these special groups require certain levels of prior musical experience or instruction.
