2012 GLEN MAR VBS

This summer, connect kids to God and watch them grow stronger in their faith as they discover that everything is possible with God! Come join us for Vacation Bible School. Take to the Sky and watch the kids 9and adults) soar as they embark upon a fun, God-centered adventure.

We are continuing to offer age appropriate programs of fun, games, bible exploration and worship. Glen Mar divides Vacation Bible School into three major sections allowing the curriculum to be molded specifically for each age group.

• VBS-Preschoolers is for ages 3 through Pre-Kindergarten. Their fun will include games, coloring pages, stories, puppets and more. Each class will have a adult leader with a handful of teen helpers to interact with the kids. Note: children must be 3 years old as of July 1st, 2012 and must be potty-trained
• VBS-Elementary is for Kindergarten through 4th grade students. They will rotate in crews from one activity to the next including: snacks, games, drama and crafts. All the class rotations will support the Bible theme for that day.
• VBXtreme is for our tweens who have finished grades 5 and 6. They have their own club house, their own snacks and all kinds of crazy activities to support the same Bible study that the rest of VBS is learning.

Families can enjoy VBS together! This year VBS will offer Family VBS for four evenings during Session I and is a great way for your family to break the ice and begin talking about God. All activities have been created just for FVBS: scavenger hunts, mazes, family outreach projects, and more. Family groups need to have at least one adult in attendance throughout the whole evening. There is also an optional dinner which is a great time to hang out and meet some new friends - plus, no dishes to wash!

Sessions

• Session I: July 9 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
• Session II: July 16 to 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
• Family VBS: July 9 to 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. - dinner offered at 5:30 p.m.

Volunteers. You're never too old for VBS at Glen Mar. If you are no longer young enough to be a participant, you can still enjoy VBS by volunteering! Contact Margaret Prechtl by email or by phone (410-465-4995 x204) if you feel called to volunteer.
