ABOUT MATT

Matt Poole started as the lead pastor of Glen Mar Church in July 2010. He was born and raised in Montgomery County, MD. He attended the University of Maryland (BS, Psychology) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv). In 2000, he was awarded a Beeson Scholarship to attend Asbury Theological Seminary and received his Doctorate in preaching and church leadership.

Matt brings with him gifts for ministry in the areas of preaching, teaching, wisdom, and leadership. His passion is for lives to be changed through following Jesus Christ. He has planted a church and been in ministry for over 20 years.

Matt spends his free time with his family; wife Heather and their two daughters. You may also find him on the roads and trails around Ellicott City training for a triathlon or simply enjoying being outdoors.
